NHS ELIGIBILITY


To be entitled to a free NHS examination, you would need to fall into one of the following categories;

  • Under 16 or under 19 in full time education.
  • Over 60 every 2 years or over 70 every year.
  • Over 40 with a close blood relative with Glaucoma.
  • If your Diabetic or have Glaucoma (or are considered at risk of Glaucoma by the hospital).
  • If you are registered sight impaired/severely sight impaired or have been prescribed complex lenses.
  • If you receive Universal credit, Pension credit guaranteed, Tax Credit or Employment and Support allowance.
  • A valid HC2 certificate.


To be entitled to a NHS spectacle Voucher, you would need to fall into one of the following Categories;


  • Under 16 or under 19 in full time education.
  • Prescribed complex lenses.
  • If you receive Universal credit, Pension credit guaranteed, Tax Credit or Employment and Support allowance.
  • A valid HC2 certificate.

OCT SCANS

Field of vision exams


We have a new, advanced field of vision machine which does advanced testing of a patients peripheral vision. This can be useful for checking blind spots, charting glaucoma field loss and even checking peripheral vision for driving.

We have recently purchased brand new, advanced OCT imaging equipment. This means we are now able to take full scans of the back of your eye, giving us more information and earlier detection of eye issues such as retinal detachments and macular degeneration

WECS/WGOS 2

We are registered to carry out medical checks under the NHS for many different reasons. We take referrals from your GP, Consultant, pharmacist or self referrals for many different eye complaints. We always endeavor to fit patients in to the next available appointment dependent on our dispensing opticians initial triage of your symptoms.

GLAUCOMA SCREENING

We welcome hospital patients who have been referred to their opticians for a full glaucoma screening.

PRIVATE SIGHT TESTS


All of our fully qualified and highly experienced optometrists will carry out a thorough sight test using our up to date equipment. Our qualified dispensing opticians will help you with frame selection, choose your optical lenses and ensure you have the high quality experience you expect. 


FREE NHS SIGHT TESTS

We welcome NHS patients and also provide an NHS optical voucher towards the cost of spectacles.

CONTACT LENSES


We have a contact lens optician who has experience in fitting all types and styles of contact lenses to fit any of your lifestyle and medical needs. This can be done either through direct debit or one off payment.


Should you choose to set up a Direct Debit, you will benefit from lenses delivered to your home should you request it, free replacement lenses, solutions, aftercare and much more!
